Few distilleries are pushing the boundaries of bourbon quite like Bardstown Bourbon Company. On November 5, Master Distiller Nick Smith joins us at Bin 110 in Cornelius for a night of rare pours and real conversation.
Bardstown Bourbon Company has been part of the Bin 110 story for years. This time, Andy Upchurch is bringing one of the people who built it right to our bar.
Join us for an exclusive tasting and behind-the-scenes conversation with Nick Smith, Master Distiller at Bardstown Bourbon Company, who has been part of the distillery since day one in 2016.
We've poured a lot of Bardstown at this bar, and we've walked their rickhouses. Having Nick here in Cornelius to pour it himself is a big one for us.
Andy Upchurch, Owner, Bin 110
Meet Nick Smith
Nick has been with Bardstown Bourbon Company since it opened its doors in 2016, and today he leads the distilling as Master Distiller. He has had a hand in the distillery's growth from the very beginning.
He's bringing that story to Bin 110 for an evening of tasting and conversation. Longtime Bardstown fans and folks discovering it for the first time are both welcome.
The Evening's Lineup
Nick will guide guests through a flight that includes:

Single Barrel “Distiller’s Pick 2024” Barrel Strength Rye
Collaborative Series: Amrut
A Surprise Pour
Want to keep exploring? We'll also have an extensive selection of older Discovery, Collaborative, Fusion, and Origin Series expressions available for purchase that night.
Bardstown Bourbon Company CEO Mark Erwin at Bin 110, January 2025.
Bin 110 and Bardstown
This relationship goes back years. In January 2025, Bardstown Bourbon Company President and CEO Mark Erwin and his wife came to Lake Norman to lead a six-whiskey tasting at Bin 110. Mark called Bin 110 a "day one supporter of Bardstown," and Andy has built one of the most extensive Bardstown collections in North Carolina.
Bringing Nick to Cornelius is the next chapter: the person making the whiskey, at one of the deepest whiskey bars in the Lake Norman area. Read about Mark's visit to Bin 110.
